जातं विमथ्य तद्युक्त्या त्रिवृत्सिद्धं पिबेद्घृतम्| तथा सिद्धं घृतप्रस्थं पयस्यष्टगुणे पिबेत् ||१३९||

Thus obtained butter is boiled to get the ghee. Further this ghee is processed with trivrita (Operculina turpethum) to get the snuhi kshira ghrita. Alternatively one can take one prastha (768g) of cow’s ghee, mixed with eight prastha (6144g) of milk;
