समागमे पतति जलं ज्ञशुक्रयोर्ज्ञजीवयोर्गुरुसितयोश्च सङ्गमे । यमारयोः पवनहुताशजं भयं ह्यदृष्टयोरसहितयोश्च सद्ग्रहैः ॥ २८-२१ ॥

There will be rain if Mercury and Venus, or Mercury and Jupiter, or Venus and Jupiter should meet; if Saturn and Mars should meet and if they should not be accompanied by or within view of benefíc planets, there will be fear from storms and fire.

अग्रतः पृष्ठतो वाअपि ग्रहाः सूर्यावलम्बिनः । यदा तदा प्रकुर्वन्ति महीं एकार्णवां इव ॥ २८-२२ ॥

If the planets should be close to the Sun, either all to its east or all to its west, the rainfall will be so great that the Earth will be buried under one sea of water.

प्रविशति यदि खद्योतो जलदसमीपेषु रजनीषु । केदारपूरं अधिकं वर्षति देवस्तदा न चिरात् ॥ २८-२३ ॥

If fireflies enter and gather near the clouds during the nights, then the god (of rain) soon pours down rain in abundance, filling the fields and reservoirs.

वर्षत्यपि रटति यदा गोमायुश्च प्रदोषवेलायाम् । सप्ताहं दुर्दिनं अपि तदा पयो नात्र सन्देहः ॥ २८-२४ ॥

When, even while it is raining, the jackal howls at twilight, then there will be rain and overcast weather for a whole week—there is no doubt about it.
