सपांशुवर्षाः सापश्च शुभा बालक्रिया अपि । पक्षिणां सुस्वरा वाचः क्रीडा पांशुजलादिषु ॥ २२-०६ ॥

Rains accompanied by dust, and water mixed with dust, are auspicious, as are the playful activities of children; the sweet, melodious calls of birds, and play in dust and water are also favorable signs.

रविचन्द्रपरीवेषाः स्निग्धा नात्यन्तदूषिताः । वृष्टिस्तदापि विज्ञेया सर्वसस्य अर्थसाधिका ॥ २२-०७ ॥

When the halos around the Sun and the Moon are smooth and not excessively blemished, the rainfall that follows should be understood as beneficial, bringing prosperity and success to all crops.

मेघाः स्निग्धाः संहताश्च प्रदक्षिणगतिक्रियाः । तदा स्यान्महती वृष्टिः सर्वसस्य अभिवृद्धये ॥ २२-०८ ॥

When the clouds are smooth, compact, and move in a rightward (auspicious) course, then there will be abundant rainfall, leading to the growth and prosperity of all crops.
