मथुरायाः पूर्वार्धं हिमवद्गोमन्तचित्रकूटस्थाः । सौराष्ट्रसेतुजलमार्गपण्यबिलपर्वतऽश्रयिणः ॥ १६-१६ ॥
To the east of Mathurā are the regions of Himavat, Gomanta, and Chitrakūṭa; and those who dwell near the Saurāṣṭra causeway, the water routes, and the Panya-bila mountain.

mathurAyAH pUrvArdhaM himavadgomantacitrakUTasthAH । saurASTrasetujalamArgapaNyabilaparvata'zrayiNaH ॥ 16-16 ॥

Those skilled in the art of fan-making and mechanical devices, the Gandharva scribes, and those versed in gems, colors, perfumes, and reasoning; the artists adept in writing, phonetics, mathematics, cosmetics, longevity, and sculpture.

Those devoted to the arts of the human form, illusions, life, the infant, and indicators; those skilled in diplomacy, humor, and knowledge of supernatural arts, including magical and celestial sciences.

The eastern regions of the Sindhu river, and to the west of Mathurā, the half of Bhārata and the Sauvīras; the Srughna, the Audīcya, the Vipāśā river, the Satadru, Ramatha, and the Śālvās.
