आग्नेये सितकुसुमऽहिताग्निमन्त्रज्ञसूत्रभाष्यज्ञाः । आकरिकनापितद्विजघटकारपुरोहिताब्दज्ञाः ॥ १५-०१ ॥

Those who are born on the lunar day of Kṛttikā will delight in white flowers, will perform sacrificial rites, will be Brāhmins, potters, priests or astronomers.

रोहिण्यां सुव्रतपण्यभूपधनियोगयुक्तशाकटिकाः । गोवृषजलचरकर्षकशिलोच्चयाइश्वर्यसम्पन्नाः ॥ १५-०२ ॥

Those who are born on the lunar day of Rohiṇī will be devout men, merchants, rulers, rich men, Yogis, drivers, or men possessed of cows, cattle and the animals of water, farmers and men possessed of wealth derived from mountain produce.

मृगशिरसि सुरभिवस्त्राब्जकुसुमफलरत्नवनचरविहङ्गाः । मृगसोमपीथिगान्धर्वकामुका लेखहाराश्च ॥ १५-०३ ॥

Those who are born on the lunar day of Mṛgaśirṣa will delight or deal in perfumes, dress, pearls, flowers, fruits, precious stones, wild beasts, birds and deer; will be Somayajis or singers; will be lascivious; will be good writers or painters.

रौद्रे वधबन्धऽनृतपरदारस्तेयशाठ्यभेदरताः । तुषधान्यतीक्ष्णमन्त्राभिचारवेतालकर्मज्ञाः ॥ १५-०४ ॥

Those who are born on the lunar day of Ārdrā will delight in killing, torturing, lying, in adultery, thieving, cheating and tale-bearing; will deal in pod-grains, black magic, sorcery and exorcism.

आदित्ये सत्याउदार्यशौचकुलरूपधीयशोअर्थयुताः । उत्तमधान्यं वणिजः सेवाभिरताः सशिल्पिजनाः ॥ १५-०५ ॥

Those who are born on the lunar day of Punarvasu will be noted for truthfulness, generosity, cleanliness, respectable descent, personal beauty, sense, fame and wealth; they will also be merchants, dealing in excellent articles, will be fond of service and will delight in the company of painters and sculptors.
