इति निगदितमिष्टं नेष्टमन्यद्विशेषादधिकफलविपाकं जन्मभात्तत्र दद्यु: । उपचयगृहमित्रस्वोच्चगै: पुष्टमिष्टं त्वपचयगृहनीचारातिगैनेष्टसम्पत् ॥ ९-८ ॥
Thus is declared the favorable and the other is unfavorable. From the difference is maturing of the dominate result. There, from the positions of the planets in the astrological houses at birth, those should give favorable nourishment with those situated in one’s own exaltation, a friend’s zodiac sign, and upachaya houses; but with those situated in the debilitated and enemy zodiac signs, and apacaya houses (1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 12th), the unfavorable occurs.
