सम्यग्बलिन: स्वतुङ्गभागे सम्पूर्णा बलवर्जितस्य रिक्ता ॥ नीचांशगतस्य शत्रुभागे ज्ञेयानिष्टफला दशा प्रसूतौ ॥ ८-५ ॥
Of it (a planet) possessed of power united in the degree of one’s own exaltation is Sampurna (whole). Of it (a planet) without strength situated in the the degree of debilitation, it is Rikta (empty). When in the portion of an enemy, it is Anishtaphala (has unfortunate results). When coming forth, the dasha is to be known.
