शशाङ्के पापलग्ने वा वृश्चिकेशत्रिभागगे ॥ शुभै: स्वायस्थितैर्जात: सर्पस्तद्वेष्टितोऽपि वा ॥ ५-३ ॥
When the Moon or a malefic lagna are situated in the third portion of Mars with benefics in the second and eleventh house, the birth is a serpent or even surrounded by that (a serpent), respectively.
