शुभोऽशुभक्षे रुचिरं कुभूमिजं करोति वृक्षं विपरीतमन्यथा। परांशके बावति विच्युतः स्वकाद्भवन्ति तुल्यास्तरवस्तथाभिधाः ॥ ३-८ ॥
If t?e lord of the navamsha in the lagna is a benefic but ~laced ln.a malefic sign it denotes the growth ofbeautiful trees ln ba~ soil. If on the other hand, the said lord is a malefic and occuple~ a good sign it denotes the growth of a bad tree in a gO?d sOlI; The number of navamshas intervening between the said lord s own navamsha and that occupied by him de termine the type that the tree has.

zubho'zubhakSe ruciraM kubhUmijaM karoti vRkSaM viparItamanyathA। parAMzake bAvati vicyutaH svakAdbhavanti tulyAstaravastathAbhidhAH ॥ 3-8 ॥
