केचिच्छशाङ्काध्युषितान्नवांशाच्छुक्लान्तसञ्ज्ञं कथयन्ति मासम् ॥ लग्नत्रिकोणोत्तमवीर्ययुक्तं सम्प्रोच्यतेऽङ्गालभनादिभिर्वा ॥ २६-५ ॥
Some (twice-born skilled in the horoscope) declare the month from ॥ the zodiac sign॥ occupied by the Moon named from the end of the bright fortnight of the Moon (full moon) ॥ at birth॥ is joined to greatest strength in a trikona (1st, 5th, or 9th house) from the lagna, or indicated by the touching of the body region, etc. ॥ by the querent॥.
