वर्षर्तुमासतिथयो द्युनिशं ह्युडूनि वेलोदयर्क्षनवभागविकल्पना स्यु: ॥ भूयो दशदिगुणिता: स्वविकल्पभक्ता वर्षादयो नवकदानविशोधनाभ्याम् ॥ २६-११ ॥
The year, season, month, tithi, and indeed the night or day related to the nakshatras in the rising time, those various portions of the navamshas of zodiac signs moreover should be multiplied by 10, etc., divided by one’s variety, and with adding or subtracting nine are the the year, et cetera.

varSartumAsatithayo dyunizaM hyuDUni velodayarkSanavabhAgavikalpanA syu: ॥ bhUyo dazadiguNitA: svavikalpabhaktA varSAdayo navakadAnavizodhanAbhyAm ॥ 26-11 ॥
