जङ्ह्घोर्वोः सङ्गमे जानु खञ्जता तत्र जीवतः। जानुनस्त्र्यङ्गुलादूर्ध्वमाण्यूस्तम्भशोफकृत्॥६॥

At the junction of calves and thighs is the janu, its injury produces lameness if he is alive. Three angulas above on either side of the janu are the ani, its injury causes stiffness of the thighs and swelling of the leg (thigh).

english translation

jaGhghorvoH saGgame jAnu khaJjatA tatra jIvataH। jAnunastryaGgulAdUrdhvamANyUstambhazophakRt॥6॥
