अथापतन्तीमपरां पातयेत्पूर्ववद्भिषक्। एवं निर्हृतशल्यां तु सिञ्चेदुष्णेन वारिणा॥३९॥
Aparapatana – extracting the placenta: The non-descending apara (placenta) should be pulled out by the same methods (described earlier) by the physician. After the foreign body (in the form of placenta) is expelled, the entire body should be sprinkled with warm water and anointed / massage with oil.
