Astanga Hrudaya
अरतिः स्रस्तनेत्रत्वमावीनामसमुद्भवः। तस्याः कोष्णाम्बुसिक्तायाः पिष्ट्वा योनिं प्रलेपयेत् ॥ २४ ॥
In that condition, her genital tract should be with sprinkled with luke-warm water, a paste prepared from jaggery (molasses), fermented yeast and little of salt, should be applied the slimy material inside the fruit of Shalmali and atasi made into paste with ghee, should be filled into the expulsions of the fetal membranes repeatedly.
