फलानि चाष्टौ सलिलाढकाभ्यां विपाचयेदष्टमशेषितेऽस्मिन् । वचाशताह्वाहपुषाप्रियङ्गुयष्टीकणावत्सकबीजमुस्तम् ॥ ८ ॥

Combine these with eight fruits of madana-phala (Randia dumetorum) and boil the entire mixture in two āḍhaka (approx. 6.14 liters) of water until the decoction is reduced to one-eighth of its original volume. Separately, prepare a fine paste (supiṣṭam) consisting of vacā (Acorus calamus), śatāhvā (Anethum sowa), hapuṣā (Juniperus communis), priyaṅgu (Callicarpa macrophylla), yaṣṭīmadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra), kaṇā (Pippalī), vatsakabīja (Indrayava / seeds of Holarrhena antidysenterica), and mustā (Cyperus rotundus).
