Mantha prepared from Saktu (flour of barley) soaked in the juice of Iksvaku – Lagenaria siceraria should be consumed (to cure) in fever of Kapha origin, cough, diseases of the throat and loss of appetite/taste.

saktubhirvA pibenmanthaM tumbIsvarasabhAvitaiH । kaphodbhave jvare kAse galarogeSvarocake ॥ 32 ॥
