धात्वन्तरोपमर्देद्धश्चलो व्यापी स्वधामगः । तैलं मन्दानलस्यापि युक्त्या शर्मकरं परम् ॥ ४६ ॥
Cala (vata) aggravated by the disorders of the other dhatus (doshas, pitta and kapha) though spreading all over the body, moves specifically towards its own residence (large intestine); Sesame oil should beused skillfullyin case of presence of low digestive power,which is best for balance of dhatus.

वाय्वाशये सतैले हि बिम्बिसी नावतिष्ठते। क्षीणे मले स्वायतनच्युतेषु दोषान्तरेष्वीरण एकवीरे। को निष्टनन्प्राणिति कोष्ठशूली नान्तर्बहिस्तैलपरो यदि स्यात्॥४७॥
When the residence of Vata is treated with taila (medicated oil administrated orally or rectally)then dysentery does not stay there at all. When there is depletion of feces, the other doshas (pitta and kapha) getting displaced from their respective channels cause affliction of vata, and becomes the sole leader. The patient of diarrhea, will have to strain at stools with abdominal pain, if he is not devoted to the use of medicated oil both internally and externally.
