क्षारेणैवार्द्रमितरत् क्षारेण ज्वलनेन वा । महद्वा बलिनश्छित्त्वा वीतयन्त्रमथातुरम् ॥ ७ ॥
only if it (piles) is of the moist kind (bleeding piles) and the other kind (non-bleeding) with either caustic Alkali or fire (touching a red hot metal probe etc.) or excising (with sharp instrument) if the pile mass is big, especially in strong patients.
