शठीतामलकीभार्गीचण्डावालकपौष्करम् । शर्कराष्टगुणं चूर्णं हिध्माश्वासहरं परम् ॥ ४६ ॥
Powder of śaṭhī – Curcuma zedoaria, tāmalakī – Phyllanthus niruri, bhārgī – Clerodendrum serratum, caṇḍā – Angelica glauca, vālaka – Pavonia odorata, pauṣkaram – Inula racemosa, mixed with eight parts of śarkarā – sugar, hidhmā – is best of cure hiccup, śvāsaharaṃ param – and dysponea.
english translation
तुल्यं गुडं नागरं च भक्षयेन्नावयेत वा । लशुनस्य पलाण्डोर्वा मूलं गृञ्जनकस्य वा ॥ ४७ ॥
Equal parts of guḍaṃ – jaggery, nāgaraṃ ca – and Zingiber officinaleshould be consumed (daily) or used as Nasal drops (for cure of hiccup and dysponea). Juice of laśuna – Allium sativum, palāṇḍo: – vā Allium cepa, mūlaṃ gṛñjanakasya vā – or root of Daucas carota,

चन्दनाद्वा रसं दद्यान्नारीक्षीरेण नावनम् । स्तन्येन मक्षिकाविष्ठामलक्तकरसेन वा ॥ ४८ ॥
candanāt vā – or Santalum album, nārīkṣīreṇa – mixed with breast milk should be put into the nose; or excreta of honey bee with breast milk āma laktaka rasena vā – or juice Alaktaka (lac)
english translation
ससैन्धवं घृताच्छं वा सिद्धं स्तन्येन वा घृतम् । कल्कितैर्मधुरद्रव्यैस्तत्पिबेन्नावयेत वा ॥ ४९ ॥
or thin fluid of ghee mixed with Saindhava or medicated ghee prepared with the paste of kalkita the paste of herbs of herbs of sweet taste mixed with breast milk should be consumed or used as nasal drops,
english translation
सकृदुष्णं सकृच्छीतं व्यत्यासात् ससितामधु । तद्वत्पयस्तथा सिद्धमधोभागौषधैर्घृतम् ॥ ५० ॥
or honey mixed with sugar (may be instilled into the nose) alternatively making it warm or cold, similarly the milk, or medicated ghee prepared from purgative herbs (to be put into the nose).
