दशमूलाढके प्रस्थं घृतस्याक्षसमैः पचेत् । पुष्कराह्वशठीबिल्वसुरसाव्योषहिङ्गुभिः ॥ ५६ ॥
From one adhaka (3.072 liters) of the decoction of Dashamula (10 roots), one prastha (768 g) of ghee is taken and cooked along with a paste prepared with one aksha (12 grams) each of Inula racemosa, Curcuma zedoaria, Aegle marmelos, Ocimum sanctum, the combination of Piper longum, Piper nigrum and Zingiber officinale, and Ferula narthex.

This medicated ghee, consumed along with Peya (thin gruel) as a vehicle, cures all diseases arising from aggravated Vata and Shleshman (Kapha) together. Medicated ghee prepared from the fresh juice of the leaves of Nirgundi (Vitex negundo) cures cough.

ghee prepared from juice (decoction) of Vidanga (Embelia ribes) and paste of Piper longum, Piper nigrum and Zingiber officinale cures Kaphaja Kasa. Boerhavia diffusa (another variety of Punarnava – Boerhavia diffusa), Pinus roxburghii, Cassia occidentalis, Tinospora cordifolia, Medicated ghee prepared from the decoction of, Trichosanthes dioica, Solanum indicum and Ocimum gratissimum, Milk and paste of Piper longum, Piper nigrum and Zingiber officinale when used wards off the fear of cough, recurrent fever, consumption and piles (hemorrhoids).
