पिप्पली पिप्पलीमूलं शृङ्गवेरं विभीतकम् । शिखिकुक्कुटपिच्छानां मषी क्षारो यवोद्भवः ॥ ४६ ॥
Confection prepared from the powder of the herbs mentioned in the following three half-verses, consumed with honey cures cough of kapha origin: Piper longum, root of Piper longum, Zingiber officinale and Terminalia bellirica; ash of feather of peacock and fowl and alkali of Hordeum vulgare;

विशाला पिप्पलीमूलं त्रिवृता च मधुद्रवाः । कफकासहरा लेहास्त्रयः श्लोकार्धयोजिताः ॥ ४७ ॥
Citrullus colocynthis, root of Piper longum and Operculina turpethum.

मधुना मरिचं लिह्यान्मधुनैव च जोङ्गकम् । पृथग्रसांश्च मधुना व्याघ्रीवार्ताकभृङ्गजान् ॥ ४८ ॥
Powder of Piper nigrum should be licked with honey, or Aquilaria agallocha with honey should be licked, juice of Solanum xanthocarpum, Solanum indicum, Eclipta alba, each one separately mixed with honey.

कासघ्नस्याश्वशकृतः सुरसस्यासितस्य च । देवदारुशठीरास्नाकर्कटाख्यादुरालभाः ॥ ४९ ॥
Cassia occidentalis, dung of horse and black variety of Ocimum sanctum. The first of the following three Leha (confections) is prepared from Cedrus deodara, Curcuma zedoaria, Pluchea lanceolata, Pistacia integerrima and Fagonia cretica.

पिप्पली नागरं मुस्तं पथ्या धात्री सितोपला । लाजाः सितोपला सर्पिः शृङ्गी धात्रीफलोद्भवा ॥ ५० ॥
The second confection is prepared from Piper longum, Zingiber officinale, Cyperus rotundus, Terminalia chebula, Emblica officinalis and sugar candy. The third confection is prepared from parched grains, sugar candy, ghee, Pistacia integerrima and fruit of Emblica officinalis.
