येषु न शस्त्रं क्रमते स्पर्शेन्द्रियनाशनेषु कुष्ठेषु । तेषु निपात्यः क्षारो रक्तं दोषं च विस्राव्य ॥ ५६ ॥
In skin disease which destroy the organ of tactile sensation and in those which are not suitable for surgical intervention, application of ksara (caustic alkalies) should be resorted to, after the elimination of blood (blood-letting) and doshas.

लेपोऽतिकठिनपरुषे सुप्ते कुष्ठे स्थिरे पुराणे च । पीतागदस्य कार्यो विषैः समन्त्रोऽगदैश्चानु ॥ ५७ ॥
In skin disease which are very hard, rough, patches insensitive, static and longstanding, to the patient who has consumed antipoison, paste application of herbs destroying poisons should be done, after chanting hymns. Later anti-poisonous herbs should be applied.

स्तब्धानि सुप्तसुप्तान्यस्वेदनकण्डुलानि कुष्ठानि । घृष्टानि शुष्कगोमयफेनकशस्त्रैः प्रदेह्यानि ॥ ५८ ॥
Leprotic patches which are static, greatly insensitive, non-perspiring and itching should be rubbed first either with powder of dry cow dung, cutlet fish / sea foam or with sharp instruments and then warm paste applied over.

मुस्ता त्रिफला मदनं करञ्ज आरग्वधः कलिङ्गयवाः । सप्ताह्वकुष्ठफलिनीदार्व्यः सिद्धार्थकं स्नानम् ॥ ५९ ॥
Bathing in the water boiled with mustā – Cyperus rotundus, triphalā – Triphala (Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellirica & Emblica officinalis), madanaṃ – Randia dumetorum, karañja – Pongamia pinnata, āragvadhaḥ – Cassia fistula, kaliṅga – Holarrhena antidysenterica yavāḥ – Hordeum vulgare, saptāhva – Alstonia scholaris, kuṣṭha – Saussurea lappa, phalinī – Callicarpa macrophylla, dārvyaḥ – Berberis aristate & siddhārthakaṃ – Brassica nigra is best suited;
english translation
एष कषायो वमनं विरेचनं वर्णकस्तथोद्घर्षः । त्वग्दोषकुष्ठशोफप्रबाधनः पाण्डुरोगघ्नः ॥ ६० ॥
decoction of these acts as an emetic, purgative; bestows colour. When rubbed (on the skin), it cures diseases of the skin, skin disease, edema and anemia.
