The following three decoctions mixed with honey should be consumed when pitta is increased, 1. uśīra – either of Vetiveria zizanioides, lodhra – Symplocos racemosa, arjuna – Terminalia arjuna, candanānāṃ – and Santalum album; 2. paṭola – of Trichosanthes dioica, nimba – Azadirachta indica, āmalaka – Emblica officinalis, and amṛta – Tinospora cordifoli 3. lodhra – or of Symplocos racemosa, ambu – Cyperus rotundus, kālīyaka – Coscinium fenestratum and dhātakī – Woodfordia fruticosa.
