सतो अर्थस्य विप्रतिपत्तिर् असतश् च अर्जनम् अप्रतिभुक्त नाशो मूत्र पुरीष धारण बुभुक्षा आदिभिश् च व्याधि लाभ इति द्यूत दोषाः ॥
Lack of recognition of wealth properly acquired, acquisition of ill-gotten wealth, loss of wealth without enjoyment, staying away from answering the calls of nature, and contracting diseases from not taking timely meals, are the evils of gambling.
english translation
sato arthasya vipratipattir asataz ca arjanam apratibhukta nAzo mUtra purISa dhAraNa bubhukSA Adibhiz ca vyAdhi lAbha iti dyUta doSAH ॥
