Arthashastra
यावद् अश्व रथ द्विपानां युद्ध सम्बाधन्म् न कुर्यात् तावद् आवापः कार्यः ॥
As many horses, chariots, and elephants may be deployed as long as they do not create confusion in battle. So much distribution should be made.
english translation
yAvad azva ratha dvipAnAM yuddha sambAdhanm na kuryAt tAvad AvApaH kAryaH ॥
