स उपकारं व्यवहितं गुप्तम् आयुः क्षयाद् इति । वासयेद् अरि पक्षीयम् अवशीर्ण क्रिया विधौ ॥

In restoring broken peace, a renegade or a person inclined towards the enemy should be kept at such a distance that till the close of his life, he may be useful to the State.

english translation

sa upakAraM vyavahitaM guptam AyuH kSayAd iti । vAsayed ari pakSIyam avazIrNa kriyA vidhau ॥
