धर्मस्थं विश्वास उपगतं सत्त्री ब्रूयात् "असौ मे बन्धुर् अभियुक्तः, तस्य अयम् अनर्थः प्रतिक्रियताम्, अयं च अर्थः प्रतिगृह्यताम्" इति ॥
On acquiring friendship with the suspected person who may be either a judge or a commissioner, the spy may request him that the misfortune in which a friend of the spy is involved may be warded off and that a certain amount of money may be accepted.
english translation
dharmasthaM vizvAsa upagataM sattrI brUyAt "asau me bandhur abhiyuktaH, tasya ayam anarthaH pratikriyatAm, ayaM ca arthaH pratigRhyatAm" iti ॥
