लुब्धक व्यञ्जना वा मांस विक्रयेण द्वाह्स्था दौवारिक अपाश्रयाश् चोर अभ्यागमं परस्य द्विस् त्रिर् इति निवेद्य लब्ध प्रत्यया भर्तुर् अनीकं द्विधा निवेश्य ग्राम वधे अवस्कन्दे च द्विषतो ब्रूयुः "आसन्नश् चोर गणः, महांश् च आक्रन्दः, प्रभूतं सैन्यम् आगच्छतु" इति ॥
Spies, disguised as hunters, may take a stand near the gate of the enemy's fort to sell flesh, and make friendship with the sentinels at the gate. Having informed the enemy of the arrival of thieves on two or three occasions, they may prove themselves to be of reliable character and cause him to split his army into two divisions and to station them in two different parts of his territory.

lubdhaka vyaJjanA vA mAMsa vikrayeNa dvAhsthA dauvArika apAzrayAz cora abhyAgamaM parasya dvis trir iti nivedya labdha pratyayA bhartur anIkaM dvidhA nivezya grAma vadhe avaskande ca dviSato brUyuH "Asannaz cora gaNaH, mahAMz ca AkrandaH, prabhUtaM sainyam Agacchatu" iti ॥
