ततः शत्रु भूमि लिप्सायां मित्रेण आत्मन्य् अपकारयित्वा अभियुञ्जीत इति समानाः पूर्वेण सर्व एव योगाः ॥
and when he goes to seize the territory, the conqueror may ask his (the conqueror's) friend to offend him (the conqueror), and then enable the friend to catch hold of the enemy.

शत्रुं वा मित्र भूमि लिप्सायां प्रतिपन्नं दण्डेन अनुगृह्णीयात् ॥

Then, having secretly conspired with his friend, he should feign excessive distress.

कृत प्रतिविधानो वा व्यसनम् आत्मनो दर्शयित्वा मित्रेण अमित्रम् उत्साहयित्वा आत्मानम् अभियोजयेत् ॥
Or, having made arrangements, [the king,] having shown himself to be in trouble and having encouraged his friend against the enemy, may cause [the enemy] to attack himself.

ततः सम्पीडनेन घातयेत्, जीव ग्राहेण वा राज्य विनिमयं कारयेत् ॥
Then, hemmed from two sides, the enemy may be killed or captured alive to distribute his territory among the conqueror and his friend.
