एक स्त्री पुत्राणां ज्येष्ठ अंशः ब्राह्मणानाम् अजाः, क्षत्रियाणाम् अश्वाः, वैश्यानां गावः, शूद्राणाम् अवयः ॥
GOATS shall be the special shares of the eldest of sons, born of the same mother, among, Bráhmans; horses among Kshatriyas; cows among Vaisyas; and sheep among Súdras.
english translation
eka strI putrANAM jyeSTha aMzaH brAhmaNAnAm ajAH, kSatriyANAm azvAH, vaizyAnAM gAvaH, zUdrANAm avayaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकाण लङ्गास् तेषां मध्यम अंशः, भिन्न वर्णाः कनिष्ठ अंशः ॥
The blind of the same animals shall be the special shares to the middle-most sons; species of variegated colour of the same animals shall be the special shares to the youngest of sons.
english translation
kANa laGgAs teSAM madhyama aMzaH, bhinna varNAH kaniSTha aMzaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचतुष्पद अभावे रत्न वर्जानां दशानां भागं द्रव्याणाम् एकं ज्येष्ठो हरेत् ॥
In the absence of quadruped, the eldest shall take an additional share of the whole property excepting precious stones.
english translation
catuSpada abhAve ratna varjAnAM dazAnAM bhAgaM dravyANAm ekaM jyeSTho haret ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रतिमुक्त स्वधा पाशो हि भवति ॥
for by this act alone, he will be bound in his duty to his ancestors.
english translation
pratimukta svadhA pAzo hi bhavati ॥

The above method is in accordance with the rules observed among the followers of Usanas.
