ज्ञातयः श्रोत्रियाः पाषण्डा वा राज्ञाम् असंनिधौ पर वास्तुषु विवसन्तो न भोगेन हरेयुः, उपनिधिम् आधिं निधिं निक्षेपं स्त्रियं सीमानं राज श्रोत्रिय द्रव्याणि च ॥
But the mere occupation of the buildings of others during the absence of the king by kinsmen, priests, or heretics shall not give them the right of possession. The same shall obtain with regard to open deposits, pledges, treasure trove (nidhi), boundary, or any property belonging to kings or priests (srotriyas).
