तथा अनर्थः संशयो वा स्व भूमिष्ठस्य विषह्यो भवति ॥
Also harm or doubtful prospects of wealth in one's own state are always intolerable.

tathA anarthaH saMzayo vA sva bhUmiSThasya viSahyo bhavati ॥

This explains the situation of doubtful harm in the middle of an expedition.

etena yAtrA madhye artha anartha saMzayAnAm upasamprAptir vyAkhyAtA ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयात्रा अन्ते तु कर्शनीयम् उच्छेदनीयं वा कर्शयित्वा उच्छिद्य वा अर्थः श्रेयान् उपसम्प्राप्तुं न अनर्थः संशयो वा पर आबाध भयात् ॥
But at the close of an expedition, it is better to acquire wealth either by reducing or destroying a reducible or assailable enemy than to get into a situation of doubtful harm, lest enemies might cause troubles.
english translation
yAtrA ante tu karzanIyam ucchedanIyaM vA karzayitvA ucchidya vA arthaH zreyAn upasamprAptuM na anarthaH saMzayo vA para AbAdha bhayAt ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसामवायिकानाम् अपुरोगस्य तु यात्रा मध्य अन्तगो अनर्थः संशयो वा श्रेयान् उपसम्प्राप्तुम् अनिर्बन्ध गामित्वात् ॥
But, for one who is not the leader of combination of states, it is better to risk the situation of doubtful wealth or harm in the middle or at the close of an expedition, since one is not obliged to continue the expedition.

sAmavAyikAnAm apurogasya tu yAtrA madhya antago anarthaH saMzayo vA zreyAn upasamprAptum anirbandha gAmitvAt ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअर्थो धर्मः काम इत्य् अर्थ त्रि वर्गः ॥
Wealth, virtue, and enjoyment form the aggregate of the three kinds of wealth.
