Arthashastra
यस्य वा प्रवीर पुरुषो हस्ती हयो वा म्रियेत गूढ पुरुषैर् हन्येत ह्रियेत वा सत्त्रिणः परस्पर उपहतं ब्रूयुः ॥
When an enemy's brave soldier, elephant, or horse dies, or is killed, or carried off by spies, other spies may tell the enemy that the death is due to mutual conflict among his followers.
english translation
yasya vA pravIra puruSo hastI hayo vA mriyeta gUDha puruSair hanyeta hriyeta vA sattriNaH paraspara upahataM brUyuH ॥
