Arthashastra
ततो रस विद्धं धान्यं स्नेहं क्षारं लवणं वा दूष्य अमित्र आटविकाः प्रवेशयेयुः, अन्ये वा अभित्यक्ताः ॥
Then traitors, enemies, or wild tribes, or some other persons, specially appointed for the purpose, may send a supply of poisoned grains, oil, jaggery, and salt to the fort.
english translation
tato rasa viddhaM dhAnyaM snehaM kSAraM lavaNaM vA dUSya amitra ATavikAH pravezayeyuH, anye vA abhityaktAH ॥
