सकलत्वमतो ज्ञेयमीशत्वं मयि सत्वरम् । यदिदं निष्कलं स्तंभं मम ब्रह्मत्वबोधकम् ४१ ।

The Īśatva in me is to be known as the embodied form and this symbolic column is indicative of my Brahmatva.

लिंगलक्षणयुक्तत्वान्मम लिंगं भवेदिदम् । तदिदं नित्यमभ्यर्च्यं युवाभ्यामत्र पुत्रकौ ४२ ।

Since it has all the characteristic features of my phallic emblem, it shall be my symbol. O sons, you shall worship it every day.

मदात्मकमिदं नित्यं मम सान्निध्यकारणम् । महत्पूज्यमिदं नित्यमभेदाल्लिंगसिंगिनोः ४३ ।

The phallic symbol and the symbolised Śiva are non-different. Hence this phallic emblem is identical with me. It brings devotees quite near to me. It is worthy of worship therefore.

यत्रप्रतिष्ठितं येन मदीयं लिंगमीदृशम् । तत्र प्रतिष्ठितः सोहमप्रतिष्ठोपि वत्सकौ ४४ ।

O dear sons, if phallic emblem of this sort in installed I can be considered installed, though my idol is not installed.

मत्साम्यमेकलिंगस्य स्थापने फलमीरितम् । द्वितीये स्थापिते लिंगे मदैक्यं फलमेव हि ४५ ।

The result of installing the phallic emblem is the attainment of similarity with me. If a second phallic emblem is installed, the result is union with me.
