भस्मधारी विशेषेण स्त्रीगोहत्यादिपातकैः । वीरहत्याश्वहत्याभ्यां मुच्यते नात्र संशयः ५५ ।
A person regularly applying the ash (bhasma) is freed of the sins of slaughter of women and cows and that of heroes and horses. There is no doubt about it.
