स्त्रीभिस्त्रिपुण्ड्रमलकावधि धारणीयं भस्म द्विजादिभिरथो विधवाभिरेवम् । तद्वत्सदाश्रमवतां विशदाविभूतिर्धार्यापवर्गफलदा सकलाघहन्त्री ५१ ।
The Tripuṇḍra shall be applied upto the forelocks by women. Brahmins and widows shall apply the ash also. Similarly it shall be applied by persons of all Āramas. Thus it bestows salvation and destroys all sins.
