इत्येवं चाक्षतान्पुष्पानारोप्य च शिवोपरि । प्रणमेद्भक्तितश्शंभुं साष्टांगं विधिवन्मुने ६१ ।

After repeating the hymn, the devotee shall place the flowers and the rice-grains over the phallic image of Śiva. O sages, he shall then prostrate before Śiva with devotion (his eight limbs touching the ground).

ततः प्रदक्षिणां कुर्याद्यथोक्तविधिना सुधीः । पुनः स्तुवीत देवेशं स्तुतिभिः श्रद्धयान्वितः ६२ ।

The intelligent devotee shall perform circumambulation in the manner prescribed. He shall pray to the lord of Devas with great faith.

ततो गलरवं कृत्वा प्रणमेच्छुचिनम्रधीः । कुर्याद्विज्ञप्तिमादृत्य विसर्जनमथाचरेत् ६३ ।

Then he shall make a full-throated sound.[61] He shall humbly bow down his head. He shall then make a formal request and perform the rite of ritualistic farewell.

इत्युक्ता मुनिशार्दूलाः पार्थिवार्चा विधानतः । भुक्तिदा मुक्तिदा चैव शिवभक्तिविवर्धिनी ६४ ।

O foremost among sages, thus have I explained to you the procedure for the worship of the phallic image that accords worldly pleasures, salvation and increases devotion to Śiva.

इत्यध्यायं सुचित्तेन यः पठेच्छृणुयादपि । सर्वपापविशुद्धात्मासर्वान्कामानवाप्नुयात् ६५ ।

Whoever reads or listens to this chapter with a pure mind shall be purified of all sins and shall attain all wishes.
