निवृत्तानां परं सूक्ष्मलिंगमेव विशिष्यते । विभूत्यभ्यर्चनं कुर्याद्विभूतिं च निवेदयेत् ५६ ।
english translation
पूजां कृत्वाथ तल्लिंगं शिरसा धारयेत्सदा । विभूतिस्त्रिविधा प्रोक्ता लोकवेदशिवाग्निभिः ५७ ।
They shall keep the liṅga after worship on their head for ever. The ash is of three types, derived from ordinary fire, Vedic fire and Śiva fire.

लोकाग्निजमथो भस्मद्र व्यशुद्ध्यर्थमावहेत् । मृद्दारुलोहरूपाणां धान्यानां च तथैव च ५८ ।
The ash derived from ordinary fire shall be used for the purification of articles of mud, wood or metals and even for grains.

तिलादीनां च द्र व्याणां वस्त्रादीनां तथैव च । तथा पर्युषितानां च भस्मना शिद्धिरिष्यते ५९ ।
Articles of worship like gingelly seeds, cloths and stale stuffs shall be purified with ashes.

श्वादिभिर्दूषितानां च भस्मना शुद्धिरिष्यते । सजलं निर्जलं भस्म यथायोग्यं तु योजयेत् 1-18-६० ।
So also the objects defiled by dogs etc. The ashes shall be used with or without water according to necessity.
