विघ्नेशपूजया सम्यग्भूर्लोकेऽभीष्टमाप्नुयात् । शुक्रवारे चतुर्थ्यां च सिते श्रावणभाद्र के २१ ।
By the worship of Gaṇeśa the devotee shall attain his wish in this world itself. The days of special worship of Gaṇeśa are Fridays, the fourth day of the bright half of the lunar months of Śrāvaṇa and Bhādrapada.
english translation
vighnezapUjayA samyagbhUrloke'bhISTamApnuyAt । zukravAre caturthyAM ca site zrAvaNabhAdra ke 21 ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभिषगृक्षे धनुर्मासे विघ्नेशं विधिवद्यजेत् । शतं पूजासहस्रं वा तत्संख्याकदिनैर्व्रजेत् २२ ।
"One should duly worship Vighneśa (Gaṇeśa) when the Śatabhiṣak star is ascendant in the month of Dhanus. Alternatively, one can worship continuously for one hundred or one thousand days.
english translation
bhiSagRkSe dhanurmAse vighnezaM vidhivadyajet । zataM pUjAsahasraM vA tatsaMkhyAkadinairvrajet 22 ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदेवाग्निश्रद्धया नित्यं पुत्रदं चेष्टदं नृणाम् । सर्वपापप्रशमनं तत्तद्दुरितनाशनम् २३ ।
As a result of the faith in the deity and in the fire, the worship yields sons or the different wishes to the devotees. It quells all sins and the various hardships.
english translation
devAgnizraddhayA nityaM putradaM ceSTadaM nRNAm । sarvapApaprazamanaM tattadduritanAzanam 23 ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवारपूजांशिवादीनामात्मशुद्धिप्रदां विदुः । तिथिनक्षत्रयोगानामाधारं सार्वकामिकम् २४ ।
The worship of Śiva and others on their respective days of the week is conducive to the purity of soul. In regard to Kāmya rites, the basis is either the Tithi or the star or the particular combinations of planetary positions.
english translation
vArapUjAMzivAdInAmAtmazuddhipradAM viduH । tithinakSatrayogAnAmAdhAraM sArvakAmikam 24 ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतथा बृद्धिक्षयाभावात्पूर्णब्रह्मात्मकं विदुः । उदयादुदयं वारो ब्रह्मप्रभृति कर्मणाम् २५ ।
The day of the week is the basis for the worship of Brahman and others. There is no increase or decrease with respect to the days of the week as in regard to the Tithi, star etc. A day is calculated from sunrise to sunrise.
english translation
tathA bRddhikSayAbhAvAtpUrNabrahmAtmakaM viduH । udayAdudayaM vAro brahmaprabhRti karmaNAm 25 ।
