यावत्कालं यदन्नं वै भुक्त्वा श्रवणमेधते । तावत्कृतस्य पुण्यस्य त्वर्धं दातुर्न संशयः 1-13-७० ।
A giver of food receives half the merit of the receiver which he accumulates till the time that food is digested or as long as the glory of lord Śiva reaches his ears.
