त्रिरात्रमेकरात्रं वा क्रमाच्छिवपदं लभेत् । स्ववर्णानुगुणं लोके स्वाचारात्प्राप्नुते नरः ६१ ।

By observing three nights or one night (of dedicated worship) in the prescribed manner, one can attain Shiva's supreme abode. According to their own caste and conduct, a person achieves what they deserve in this world.

वर्णोद्धारेण भक्त्या च तत्फलातिशयं नरः । सर्वं कृतं कामनया सद्यः फलमवाप्नुयात् ६२ ।

By the uplift in the caste and devotion the fruit gains more efficacy. Anything done with a desire in view yields results immediately.

varNoddhAreNa bhaktyA ca tatphalAtizayaM naraH | sarvaM kRtaM kAmanayA sadyaH phalamavApnuyAt 62 |

सर्वं कृतमकामेन साक्षाच्छिवपदप्रदम् । प्रातर्मध्याह्नसायाह्नमहस्त्रिष्वेकतः क्रमात् ६३ ।

All actions performed without desire (selflessly) directly lead to the supreme path of Shiva. One should perform them at three times of the day — morning, noon, and evening, in a proper sequence.

प्रातर्विधिकरं ज्ञेयं मध्याह्नं कामिकं तथा । सायाह्नं शांतिकं ज्ञेयं रात्रावपि तथैव हि ६४ ।

Morning is to be understood as the time for rituals (formal worship), Noon is associated with desires (personal or worldly desires), Evening is the time for peaceful devotion, and night is the same as evening, meant for peaceful worship.

prAtarvidhikaraM jJeyaM madhyAhnaM kAmikaM tathA | sAyAhnaM zAMtikaM jJeyaM rAtrAvapi tathaiva hi 64 |

कालो निशीथो वै प्रोक्तोमध्ययामद्वयं निशि । शिवपूजा विशेषेण तत्कालेऽभीष्टसिद्धिदा ६५ ।

The two middle Yāmas (1 Yāma is equal to 3 hours) at night are called Niśītha. The worship of Śiva at that time accords desired results.
