विकैतवो धर्म इह प्रगीतो वेदांतविज्ञानमयः प्रधानः । अमत्सरांतर्बुधवेद्यवस्तु सत्कॢप्तमत्रैव त्रिवर्गयुक्तम् ६६ ।

Undeceptive virtue is extolled herein; it is, in the main, of the nature of Vedantic wisdom. It contains mantras, and three aims of life and the thing knowable by wise men of unprejudiced mind.

english translation

vikaitavo dharma iha pragIto vedAMtavijJAnamayaH pradhAnaH | amatsarAMtarbudhavedyavastu satklRptamatraiva trivargayuktam 66 |

शैवं पुराणतिलकं खलु सत्पुराणं । वेदांतवेदविलसत्परवस्तुगीतम् । यो वै पठेच्च शृणुयात्परमादरेण शंभुप्रियः स हि लभेत्परमां । गतिं वै ६७ ।

sanskrit

The Śivapurāṇa is the best among the Purāṇas, extolling the great Being that glows in Vedānta and the Vedas. He who reads and listens to it with devotion becomes a favourite of Śiva and attains the supreme position (here and hereafter).

english translation

zaivaM purANatilakaM khalu satpurANaM | vedAMtavedavilasatparavastugItam | yo vai paThecca zRNuyAtparamAdareNa zaMbhupriyaH sa hi labhetparamAM | gatiM vai 67 |
