Shiva Purana
महाकालाभिधो व्याधो किरातः परहिंसकः ॥ समभ्यर्च्य शिवं भक्त्या लेभे सद्गतिमुत्तमाम् ॥ ३६ ॥
A hunter Mahākāla, a wild Kirāta habitually injuring others, worshipped Śiva with devotion and attained the goal of the good.

mahAkAlAbhidho vyAdho kirAtaH parahiMsakaH ॥ samabhyarcya zivaM bhaktyA lebhe sadgatimuttamAm ॥ 36 ॥
