प्रस्थैरेकादशैर्जातिलक्षमानं प्रकीर्तितम् ।। यूथिकायास्तथा मानं राजिकायास्तदर्द्धकम् ।। ६१ ।।

sanskrit

Eleven Prasthas of Jāti and Yūthikā flowers constitute a hundred thousand in number in each. Five and a half Prasthas of Rājikā flowers also constitute so many.

english translation

prasthairekAdazairjAtilakSamAnaM prakIrtitam || yUthikAyAstathA mAnaM rAjikAyAstadarddhakam || 61 ||

प्रस्थैर्विंशतिकैश्चैव मल्लिकामान मुत्तमम् ।। तिलपुष्पैस्तथा मानं प्रस्थान्न्यूनं तथैव च ।।६२।।

sanskrit

Twenty Prasthas of Mallikā flowers constitute a hundred thousand; while so many flowers of gingelly plant measure a little less than a Prastha.

english translation

prasthairviMzatikaizcaiva mallikAmAna muttamam || tilapuSpaistathA mAnaM prasthAnnyUnaM tathaiva ca ||62||

ततश्च द्विगुणं मानं करवीरभवे स्मृतम् ।। निर्गुंडीकुसुमे मानं तथैव कथितं बुधैः ।। ६३ ।।

sanskrit

Karavīra flowers measure three times that. Scholars say that the flowers of Nirguṇḍi too measure likewise.

english translation

tatazca dviguNaM mAnaM karavIrabhave smRtam || nirguMDIkusume mAnaM tathaiva kathitaM budhaiH || 63 ||

कर्णिकारे तथा मानं शिरीषकुसुमे पुनः ।। बंधुजीवे तथा मानं प्रस्थानं दशकेन च ।।६४।।

In Karṇikāra and Śirīṣa flowers too, the same mode of calculation holds good. Ten Prasthas of Bandhujīva flowers constitute a hundred thousand.

english translation

karNikAre tathA mAnaM zirISakusume punaH || baMdhujIve tathA mAnaM prasthAnaM dazakena ca ||64||

इत्याद्यैर्विविधै मानं दृष्ट्वा कुर्याच्छिवार्चनम् ।। सर्वकामसमृध्यर्थं मुक्त्यर्थं कामनोज्झितः ।। ६५ ।।

sanskrit

The devotee shall perform the worship of Śiva with different flowers after considering these modes of calculation for the fulfilment of desires if he has any or for the sake of salvation if he has no desire.

english translation

ityAdyairvividhai mAnaM dRSTvA kuryAcchivArcanam || sarvakAmasamRdhyarthaM muktyarthaM kAmanojjhitaH || 65 ||
