एवंविधो महाकालश्शिवलिंगस्सतां गतिः ॥ सर्वथा दुष्टहंता च शंकरो भक्तवत्सलः ॥ ७७॥
Such is the phallic form of Śiva Mahākāla, the goal of the good, the slayer of the wicked in every respect who is favourably disposed towards his devotees.

इदं पवित्रं परमं रहस्यं सर्वसौख्यदम् ॥ आख्यानं कथितं स्वर्ग्यं शिवभक्तिविवर्द्धनम्॥ ७८॥
Thus the great secret, the sanctifying narrative that bestows all happiness, conducive to heaven and enhancing devotion to Śiva has been narrated to you.
