तथा त्वमपि राजेन्द्र गोकर्ण गिरिशालयम् ।। गत्वा सम्पूज्य तल्लिंगं कृतकृत्यत्वमाप्नुयाः ।। ४६ ।।

O king, you also go to Gokarṇa, the temple of Śiva. After going there and worshipping Śiva attain contentment.

english translation

tathA tvamapi rAjendra gokarNa girizAlayam || gatvA sampUjya talliMgaM kRtakRtyatvamApnuyAH || 46 ||

तत्र सर्वेषु तीर्थेषु स्नात्वाभ्यर्च्य महाबलम् ।। सर्वपापविनिर्मुक्तः शिवलोकन्त्वमाप्नुयाः ।। ४७ ।।

Take your holy dip in the sacred waters there. Worship Mahābala. Thus you will be rid of sins and attain Śivaloka.

english translation

tatra sarveSu tIrtheSu snAtvAbhyarcya mahAbalam || sarvapApavinirmuktaH zivalokantvamApnuyAH || 47 ||

सूत उवाच ।। इत्यादिष्टः स मुनिना गौतमेन महात्मना ।। महाहृष्टमना राजा गोकर्णं प्रत्यपद्यत ।। ४८ ।।

Sūta said:— Advised thus by the noble-souled Gautama, the king highly delighted in the mind reached Gokarṇa.

sUta uvAca || ityAdiSTaH sa muninA gautamena mahAtmanA || mahAhRSTamanA rAjA gokarNaM pratyapadyata || 48 ||

तत्र तीर्थेषु सुस्नात्वा समभ्यर्च्य महाबलम् ।। निर्धूताशेषपापौघोऽलभच्छंभोः परम्पदम्।। ४९।।

He took his dip in the holy ponds and worshipped Mahābala. His sins were wiped off without the least vestige. He attained the great region of Śiva.

य इमां शृणुयान्नित्यं महाबलकथां प्रियाम् ।। त्रिसप्तकुलजैस्सार्द्धं शिवलोके व्रजत्यसौ ।। ५० ।।

He who listens to this pleasing narrative of Mahābala goes to Śiyaloka along with the members of his family upto twenty-one generations.
