Shiva Purana
हस्तं निधाय शिरसि शिष्यस्य प्रीतमानसः ॥ ऋष्यादिसहितं तस्य दक्षकर्णे समुच्चरेत् ॥ ६२॥
Placing his hand on the head of his disciple he was delighted With the sage and others one should chant it in his right ear.
english translation
hastaM nidhAya zirasi ziSyasya prItamAnasaH ॥ RSyAdisahitaM tasya dakSakarNe samuccaret ॥ 62॥
