इममर्थमुरीकृत्य चक्रसामीप्यवर्त्तनात्॥ सलिलस्य च तन्मध्ये इति प्राह श्रुतिस्स्वयम्॥ ४९ ॥

It is by accepting this sense that the Śruti says “In the middle of water”. Of course the earth rotates as the wheel.

imamarthamurIkRtya cakrasAmIpyavarttanAt॥ salilasya ca tanmadhye iti prAha zrutissvayam॥ 49 ॥
