ततस्सद्भक्तियुक्तेन चेतसा शिष्यसत्तमः॥ हृत्पंकजे समासीनं ध्यायेच्छिवमुमासखम्॥ ८६ ॥
Then the disciple shall meditate devotedly on Śiva, the consort of Umā in the lotus of his heart.
english translation
tatassadbhaktiyuktena cetasA ziSyasattamaH॥ hRtpaMkaje samAsInaM dhyAyecchivamumAsakham॥ 86 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहस्तं निधाय शिरसि शिष्यस्य स गुरुर्वदेत् ॥ त्रिवारं प्रणवं दक्षकर्णे ऋष्यादिसंयुतम् ॥ ८७ ॥
Putting his hand on the head of the disciple the preceptor shall utter the Praṇava thrice into the right ear of the disciple along with the names of the sage etc.
english translation
hastaM nidhAya zirasi ziSyasya sa gururvadet ॥ trivAraM praNavaM dakSakarNe RSyAdisaMyutam ॥ 87 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः कृत्वा च करुणां प्रणवस्यार्थ मादिशेत् ॥ षड्विधार्त्थपरि ज्ञानसहितं गुरुसत्तमः॥ ८८ ॥
The excellent preceptor shall be sympathetic and explain Praṇava with the knowledge of the six-fold topics.
english translation
tataH kRtvA ca karuNAM praNavasyArtha mAdizet ॥ SaDvidhArtthapari jJAnasahitaM gurusattamaH॥ 88 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptद्विषट्प्रकारं स गुरुं प्रणमेद्भुवि दण्डवत्॥ तदधीनो भवेन्नित्यं नान्यत्कर्म्म समाचरेत् ॥ ८९ ॥
The disciple shall make obeisance to the preceptor by prostrating twelve times. He shall remain subservient to him always. He shall not do anything else.
english translation
dviSaTprakAraM sa guruM praNamedbhuvi daNDavat॥ tadadhIno bhavennityaM nAnyatkarmma samAcaret ॥ 89 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतदाज्ञया ततः शिष्यो वेदान्तार्थानुसारतः ॥ शिवज्ञानपरो भूयात्सगुणागुणभेदतः ॥ ९०॥
At his bidding the disciple shall pursue Śaivitc knowledge in conformity with the Upaniṣadic doctrine and based on the difference of Saguṇa and Nirguṇa.
english translation
tadAjJayA tataH ziSyo vedAntArthAnusArataH ॥ zivajJAnaparo bhUyAtsaguNAguNabhedataH ॥ 90॥
